Open Monday, Thursday and Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Closed from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM for lunch. Open Tuesday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Closed from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM for lunch. Open Wednesday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Closed from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM for lunch. Open the 2nd Saturday of the month from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM. Office is closed the 4th Thursday of the month for staff development.

WIC is available to many families, and if you or your children receive Medicaid, SNAP or TANF, you automatically meet the income eligibility guidelines for WIC. 1. Review documentation and determine your WIC eligibility.
2. Weigh, measure and check iron status for you (if pregnant) and your child.
3. Answer any questions you may have about health, nutrition or breastfeeding.

At your visit, WIC staff will give you a Texas WIC card to use at the grocery store with a food package to meet your family's nutritional needs.

Breastfeeding is an amazing thing a mother can do for her baby's health, and it's not always easy. That's where your local WIC office at 225 W Waco Dr, Room 202 in Waco comes in. They can connect you with WIC lactation consultants, breastfeeding classes, WIC peer counselors and a 24/7 statewide hotline to help you breastfeed successfully. WIC's breastfeeding classes cover many topics, including different breastfeeding positions, how to get a good latch, feeding patterns and baby's hunger cues. These classes help you feel confident and empowered in your breastfeeding journey.

Whether you like to learn on your own or chat with other moms and experts, WIC has options for you. We offer free online classes, and many WIC offices offer in-person group classes, too. Our classes cover many topics, from healthy eating through pregnancy, breastfeeding tips, picky eating during the toddler years and more!

Our "click and learn" classes are available anytime, and our live classes give you the opportunity to interact with our nutrition and breastfeeding experts and connect with other parents in your community. And because we know everyone's schedule is different, we offer classes at various times throughout the week.
