Open Monday and Wednesday from 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Closed from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM for lunch. Open Tuesday and Thursday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Closed from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM for lunch. Open Friday from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Office is closed the 1st Wednesday of each month from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

You can begin your application online or call the WIC office in Lockhart near you to schedule an appointment. 1. Review documentation and determine your WIC eligibility.
2. Weigh, measure and check iron status for you (if pregnant) and your child.
3. Answer any questions you may have about health, nutrition or breastfeeding.
   At the end of your visit, you will get a food package specially designed to meet your family's nutritional needs and a Texas WIC card to use at the grocery store.

They can connect you with WIC lactation consultants, breastfeeding classes, peer counselors and a 24/7 statewide hotline to support your breastfeeding journey every step of the way. WIC's classes cover a variety of topics, including:

• Baby's hunger cues and more.

Our classes cover many topics, from healthy eating through pregnancy, breastfeeding tips, picky eating during the toddler years and more!

Our "click and learn" classes are available anytime, and our live classes give you the opportunity to interact with our nutrition and breastfeeding experts and connect with other parents in your community. And because we know everyone's schedule is different, we offer classes at various times throughout the week.
