If this is your first appointment at Grand Prairie Clinic, 828 S Carrier Pkwy, Suite 100, Grand Praire, please visit TexasWIC.org to review what documentation is needed. During your appointment, WIC office staff will:

1. Review documentation and determine your WIC eligibility.
2. Weigh, measure, and check iron status for you (if pregnant) and your child.
3. Answer any questions you may have about health, nutrition or breastfeeding.

At the end of your visit, you'll receive a Texas WIC card to use at the store with a food package specially designed to meet your needs.

Breastfeeding is a natural and beautiful way to provide the best nutrition for your baby, and it can be challenging at times. WIC has free online classes that you can take from the comfort of your home and many WIC locations have in-person group classes, too. Online classes are free, even if you are not a WIC client and cover everything from healthy eating through pregnancy, breastfeeding tips, picky eating and more!

We offer both on-demand and live classes to fit your needs. Our on-demand classes provide you with the flexibility to learn on your own time, while our live classes give you the opportunity to interact with our nutrition and breastfeeding experts and other parents in your community. And with classes available at various times throughout the week, you can choose a time that works for you.
