Open Monday through Thursday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Closed from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM for lunch. Open Friday from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Office is closed the 2nd Wednesday and 4th Monday of the month. Office is closed the 2nd Thursday of each month from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM for a staff development.

Children younger than 5, pregnant or breastfeeding mothers in Georgetown can benefit from the WIC program, which provides healthy food, nutrition classes and one-on-one counseling with nutritionists. WIC is open to many families in Georgetown, and if you receive Medicaid, SNAP, or TANF, you're already eligible for WIC. 1. Review documentation and determine your WIC eligibility.
2. Weigh, measure and check iron status for you (if pregnant) and your child.
3. Answer any questions you may have about health, nutrition or breastfeeding.

At your visit, WIC staff will give you a Texas WIC card to use at the grocery store with a food package to meet your family's nutritional needs.

Breastfeeding is an amazing thing a mother can do for her baby's health, and it's not always easy. That's where your local WIC office at 1200 W 17th St, Suite A8 in Georgetown comes in. They can connect you with WIC lactation consultants, breastfeeding classes, WIC peer counselors and a 24/7 statewide hotline to help you breastfeed successfully. WIC's breastfeeding classes cover many topics, including different breastfeeding positions, how to get a good latch, feeding patterns and baby's hunger cues. These classes help you feel confident and empowered in your breastfeeding journey.

At WIC, we want to make it as easy as possible for you to get the information you're looking for when it comes to health and nutrition for your little ones. That's why we offer free online classes, even if you are not a WIC client. Many WIC offices have in-person classes, too. Our classes cover various topics, including healthy eating, breastfeeding tips and more.

Our classes are designed to fit your busy schedule, with on-demand classes that can be taken whenever it's convenient for you, as well as live classes where you can connect with other parents in your community or ask questions for our nutrition and breastfeeding experts.
