If this is your first appointment at Albany WIC Clinic, 84 N Ave B, Albany, please visit TexasWIC.org to review what documentation is needed. During your appointment, WIC office staff will:

1. Review documentation and determine your WIC eligibility.
2. Weigh, measure, and check iron status for you (if pregnant) and your child.
3. Answer any questions you may have about health, nutrition or breastfeeding.

At the end of your visit, you'll receive a Texas WIC card to use at the store with a food package specially designed to meet your needs.

Breastfeeding is an amazing thing a mother can do for her baby's health, and it's not always easy. That's where your local WIC office at 84 N Ave B in Albany comes in. They can connect you with WIC lactation consultants, breastfeeding classes, WIC peer counselors and a 24/7 statewide hotline to help you breastfeed successfully. We offer both on-demand and live classes to fit your needs. Our on-demand classes provide you with the flexibility to learn on your own time, while our live classes give you the opportunity to interact with our nutrition and breastfeeding experts and other parents in your community. And with classes available at various times throughout the week, you can choose a time that works for you.
